BALENCIAGA

Spanish born Cristóbal Balenciaga opened his couture atelier in Paris in 1937. He led his namesake label for 31 years and completely changed the way women dressed. During that time, Balenciaga clothing and accessories were the It-choice for society women. The way he was unafraid to fully express his creativity is one of the many things the late designer shares with the brand’s current creative director, Demna Gvasalia. A keen eye for design and a strong ability to set trends is what the house of Balenciaga has always been known for.
